Behavioral health advocacy
Boston Children’s is committed to ensuring access to timely and high quality behavioral health care for children and adolescents. Over the past legislative cycle, the government relations team at Boston Children’s focused on behavioral health patient boarding, expanded access to substance use treatment, workforce development, school-based behavioral health services, integration into primary care and urgent care settings, parity, and more.

Telemedicine advocacy
Boston Children’s Hospital has been a national leader in using innovations in telehealth to care for our patients. The expansion of telehealth use during the COVID-19 health emergency enabled providers to continue to care for our patients, and it's has become an important tool in many areas of care across the hospital. Maintaining telehealth payment parity and access will be critical to allowing us to continue providing world-class care to the children we serve.
