Aaron Grey serves as Vice President of Social Work & Family Services across the Boston Children’s system of inpatient and ambulatory care. In this capacity, he supports the evolution of strategic and transformational initiatives spanning the Hale Family Center for Families (HFCFF), system language access, medical social work, patient navigation and psychiatric consult services, patient and family housing, volunteer programs, and the hospital’s child protection program.
Aaron brings significant pediatric and adult health system operational leadership to his role at Boston Children’s, having served within Children’s Hospitals & Clinics of Minnesota, Allina Health System, and the University of Wisconsin — UW Health, where he most recently served as the accountable clinical service line executive for behavioral health. At UW Health, Aaron led the strategic behavioral health joint venture with UnityPoint Health System guiding ambulatory, inpatient, and intensive outpatient behavioral health and addiction services across a large network of nearly 22,000 team members and 1,800 providers.
Aaron completed post-graduate professional studies at Cornell University in healthcare administration, holds a master’s of social work (MSW) in clinical practice and psychotherapy, and a master’s of business administration (MBA). He was named a 2020 Mayo Innovation Scholar within the office of Mayo Clinic Ventures. When he is not working you can find Aaron serving as an American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) mentor, as a member of the City of Boston Quality of Life Commission, and as an avid triathlete competing in races across the country.
