Our team is actively involved in research pertaining to all aspects of diabetes care, especially monogenic diabetes.
The Children's Rare Disease Collaborative (CRDC)
The Children’s Rare Disease Collaborative (CRDC), established in 2018, is a Boston Children’s Hospital-wide initiative that involves over 100 physician-scientists as well as patient families. The atypical diabetes cohort study aims to understand the genetic causes of atypical diabetes, improve diagnostic approaches, and explore targeted treatments.
We are part of ongoing research with RADIANT. This nationwide study aims to discover and define rare and atypical forms of diabetes. These refined diagnoses will be used by diabetes researchers, physicians, and patients to accurately explain their disease.
