Pei Chen

Pei Jun Chen is the lead technologist at the Children’s Hospital Informatics Natural Language Program.  He is interested in building practical solutions and applications using artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques.  Prior to joining the CHIP NLP team in 2011, he spent over the last 11 years on software development and engineering in finance- specializing in high throughput, distributed, scalable, transactional, global applications. 

He is passionate about contributing to the open source community and committed to improving our healthcare system with technology. He continues to pursue his passion in technology by attending evening classes at Harvard Extension School such as Artificial Intelligence, Developing Mobile Apps, etc.

Pei brings a unique experience between Liberal Arts and Technology with his degrees in Liberal Arts, Economics/Computer Science from New York University.
