Christopher A. Walsh, MD, PhD, the director of our Brain Development and Genetics Clinic at Boston Children’s Hospital, leads a research laboratory in which he and his colleagues are finding genetic changes that may be responsible for many different brain development disorders. Walsh is also Chief of the Division of Genetics and conducts research through the Manton Center for Orphan Disease Research at Boston Children’s.

We can talk with you about whether participating in our research is a good option for your family. We will take care to fully explain the study and what kind of information you might get back from us. Participating in our research is completely voluntary, and the physicians in our clinic can evaluate your child regardless of whether or not you are participating in our research. Also note that you do not have to come to Boston and be seen in our clinic in order to participate in our genetic research.
