Your Visit | Overview

The Infusion and Day Treatment Center plays a vital role in the treatment of many diseases, managed by an expert health care team dedicated to providing exceptional care.

Our newly renovated locations in Boston and Waltham feature private patient rooms equipped with TVs, Wi-Fi, and easily accessible bathrooms to ensure comfort and convenience for our patients, and extended hours to meet our patients' individual needs. Both units benefit from the support of Child Life Services during weekdays.

Your plan of care will guide the specifics of your appointment, ensuring a tailored approach to your child’s needs. Most visits typically include intravenous (IV) placement for treatment, along with regular monitoring and assessment by an infusion nurse (RN) and/or nurse practitioner (NP) throughout the course of your child’s treatment. Our goal is to deliver a safe and effective treatment experience while closely monitoring your child’s progress and well-being.

At our infusion and Day Treatment Program, we strive to make your child’s visit as comfortable as possible. We offer a variety of snacks, but you are also welcome to bring your own food if that is your preference.

Each of our locations features a cafeteria where you can find additional food choices.

What to bring

Our child life specialist has a selection of toys, games, activities, and more that are available for patient use, but if your child has something specific that will make the visit easier you are more than welcome to bring items from home to your appointment.

We have a variety of snacks available, including gluten-free options, but you are welcome to bring in outside food as well. Learn about food options on-site in Boston and Waltham.
