What to expect if your child is referred to the MIDAS Clinic and Discovery Program

To ensure that our program is a good fit for your child and that all the appropriate providers will be involved in your child’s care, a panel of MIDAS subspecialists will first review your child’s case summary. If a MIDAS Clinic visit is thought to be appropriate, our scheduling staff will contact you to schedule the recommended visits. Often our patients are able to see all of the necessary MIDAS subspecialists on the same day, typically the first Wednesday of the month.

During your visit, you can expect to see two to four providers from different specialties as indicated by your child’s specific needs. Each visit may last from 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the specifics of the case. It is likely that we will request additional laboratory testing as part of our evaluation. After your visit, our team will meet to discuss your child’s case and develop a comprehensive diagnostic plan and treatment recommendations.
