An eConsult is a secure, online, and written consultation that allows a primary care provider to complete a questionnaire and receive treatment recommendations from a Boston Children's Hospital specialist. eConsults are submitted through a third-party platform.
Who can request an eConsult?
Partnered primary care offices can submit low-acuity clinical questions to participating consulting specialties. Requesting providers need to receive patient or legal guardian consent before submitting the eConsult.
