Kenneth Softness | Professional History

Dr. Kenny Softness is a pediatric urologist and health services researcher in the Department of Urology at Boston Children's Hospital. HIs research uses quantitative and qualitative methods to evaluate outcomes in patients with congenital urologic conditions as they transition from pediatric to adult care.

Dr. Softness graduated from Cornell University, and earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed urology residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, in Boston, MA, and completed his pediatric urology fellowship at Boston Children's Hospital. During his fellowship, he participated in the Harvard-wide Pediatric Health Services Research Fellowship, and is completing a part-time Masters in Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

Dr. Softness is interested in the breadth of pediatric urology, with a special interest in genitourinary reconstruction, and minimally invasive robotic surgery.
