Founded in 2008, Boston Children’s Hospital’s Cardiac Antithrombosis Management Program (CAMP) provides quality, comprehensive care to patients with heart disease who are on lifelong anticoagulation regimens.

The goals of CAMP are to increase patient satisfaction and provide the safest care and most rewarding experience for you and your family.

What is anticoagulation?

Many people who have been treated for heart disease are at risk for blood clots. To address this problem, patients are often put on a program or “regimen” involving medications that prevent blood clots. Called “anticoagulation,” these drugs not only make blood clots less likely to develop, they help minimize a blood clot’s growth
