The Community Award Program supports community-based efforts and projects that improve the health and well-being of Boston children, families, and neighborhoods. Community-based organizations, schools, community health centers, and advocacy organizations are considered for the award and receive $10,000.

Organizations do not need to apply. The hospital wants to use this award to recognize organizations for their commitment to community health and provide them with the surprise of some unexpected funds.

This year, the award focused on organizations that are providing training, support, and education to improve child mental health. The organizations receiving funds are providing direct service or building capacity in this area.

Boston Children’s gathers input and suggestions from community partners and staff in the Office of Community Health. A full list is developed and reviewed to determine the recipients.

Boston Children’s is pleased to recognize the below organizations with a Community Award.
