*COMING SOON* 5-11yo COVID Vaccine Clinics
This week, we expect the CDC to grant approval of COVID Vaccines for 5-11-year-old children.
This is very exciting news! We at Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics strongly recommend that all eligible individuals (this includes you, parents!) receive COVID vaccinations.
We will be offering a series of weekend-only COVID Vaccine Clinics for children aged 5-11. For the time being, COVID Vaccines will only be offered during these weekend clinics, and will only be offered for the newly-approved age group.
The dates and hours for the first-dose clinics are as follows:
Westwood
- Saturday November 13th (8am - 4:30pm)
- Saturday November 20th (8am - 4:30pm)
Mansfield
- Sunday November 14th (8am - 4:30pm)
- Sunday November 21st (8am - 4:30pm)
- Sunday November 28th (8am - 4:30pm)
All parents of patients age 5-11 will receive a MyChart notification shortly following the CDC approval with information about an "appointment that needs to be scheduled". The popup below should appear in the MyChart App.
Upon receiving this message, you may schedule your child's appointment by clicking "Schedule Now" and following the directions.
All appointments for the COVID Vaccine must be self-scheduled through MyChart. Please do not call the office to make an appointment! At this point, we will only be booking appointments for the first dose of the vaccine. Second dose appointments, due 21 days after the first dose, will be booked upon check out after receiving the first dose. Please do not call our office to schedule this ahead of time.
To prepare for a large volume of patients moving through both offices, we ask that all patients enter the office and present to the front desk at the time of their appointment (do not call to check-in). Please note that we are maximizing every square foot of our offices to vaccinate patients and we hope you understand that late arrivals (or early arrivals!) can disrupt our plans. We will do our best to have you in and out of our offices as efficiently as possible.
