Dr. Boskey's research focuses on the sexual and reproductive health of sexual and gender minority populations. She also has a strong issue in ethical issues in gender affirming care and completed the Fellowship in Bioethics at Harvard Medical School in 2019. Dr. Boskey collaborates with researchers across a number of departments and divisions including Gynecology, the Gender Multispecialty Service, Endocrinology, and Adolescent Medicine. She is also the co-chair of the Social Work Research Committee and is dedicated to mentoring and encouraging social work research across the institution.

Researcher | Research Background

Dr. Boskey is Co-Director of Research in the Division of Gynecology at Boston Children’s Hospital, an Instructor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School and an Instructor of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Dr. Boskey completed her Ph.D. in Biophysics at Johns Hopkins University with a thesis examining the role of vaginal bacteria in creating vaginal acidity. Her Masters in Public Health, also at Johns Hopkins, had a concentration in population and family health sciences. Dr. Boskey is also a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, an AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator, and a Certified Health Education Specialist, with a focus on the sexual and reproductive health of sexual and gender minority individuals. She is one of the founders, and the current head, of the New England Gender C.A.R.E. (Collaboration. Access. Research. Education.) Consortium, an organization designed to promote collaboration in transgender health across the New England region.
