Philosophy of Care

If you don't have true love for your patients, you are in the wrong profession and should leave now" - those words were spoken to my medical school class on our very first day and I believe them now more than ever.

I am humbled and grateful each and every time a parent entrusts the wellbeing of their child to me - it is a sacred trust and one I never take lightly. I entered into Pediatric Anesthesia by way of Pediatrics and then Anesthesia, so I have seen the care of children from many different angles and I can say that the team approach to care at Boston Children's Hospital is truly inspiring.

At the heart of Boston Children's Hospital are the people. It is critical to remember that all of these people, patients AND staff, hold dear rich lives beyond the walls of the hospital - from a million different angles that inspires all of us.
