Kenny will never forget how, twenty years ago, the Pediatric Transplant Center at Boston Children’s Hospital made him feel special and safe as he prepared for a heart transplant to treat Adriamycin-induced dilated cardiomyopathy. His new heart gave him a renewed sense of energy and caused a “powerful” ripple effect: Good health has allowed him to do so many things, including becoming a parent of two children and working for New England Donor Services coordinating organ and tissue donations.
