Chelsey Rooney

Chelsey grew up south of Boston in Scituate, MA. She completed her undergraduate degree in Communicative Disorders at the University of Rhode Island in 2012. From there she worked in the Massachusetts Public School System as a speech and language assistant with students with a wide range of speech and language delays. During this time she predominately provided services in a substantially separate classroom for children with autism spectrum disorder. Chelsey joined the Feeding and Swallowing Program in 2019. She provides individual and group feeding therapy through BCH’s Food School Program using sensory and behaviorally-based approaches to aid in safe feeding/swallowing practices.
