Brittany Murray | Professional History

Brittany Murray is a nurse practitioner experienced in inherited metabolic disorders, including PKU, MSUD, galactosemia, urea cycle disorders, and other metabolic disorders, as well as newborn screening. She is the Lead APRN for Genetics/Metabolism, Developmental Medicine, Ophthalmology, Vaccine Clinic, and the Adolescent Substance Use & Addiction Program.

Brittany earned her Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University, and Doctor of Nursing Practice from University of Massachusetts Boston. She completed her doctoral project on improving the transition to adulthood for patients with inborn errors of metabolism. She has experience in both clinical and research areas in genetics/metabolism, and has been author/co-author on publications including best practice recommendations related to PKU. She has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences for PKU and inherited metabolic disorders. She is also passionate about patient advocacy and volunteers in nonprofit organizations for inherited metabolic disorders, newborn screening, and rare disease.
