Meet Dr. Eliot Shearer

Dr. Eliot Shearer is a pediatric ear, nose, and throat surgeon in the Department of Otolaryngology and Communication Enhancement at Boston Children’s Hospital. As both a surgeon and scientist, he is dedicated to helping children with hearing loss and complex ear disorders — and to advancing the future of pediatric hearing care.

Dr. Shearer specializes in the surgical treatment of pediatric ear conditions, including hearing loss, cholesteatoma, ossicular abnormalities, bone-anchored hearing devices, and cochlear implants. Working within Boston Children’s specialized hearing programs, he combines advanced surgical techniques with leading-edge genetics research to deliver highly personalized, family-centered care.
