Our mission

The Radiology Research Core at Boston Children's Hospital was created to help the research community conduct imaging safely and efficiently, and as a resource for investigators utilizing new or unfamiliar Radiology resources.

Advancing pediatric medicine

Imaging research is key to the success of advancement in pediatric medicine. As a leading innovator in pediatric research imaging, our mission is to assist investigators with achieving the best imaging research outcomes possible, while also assuring compliance with institutional policies.

The core facilitates the approval and allocation of research imaging time in the Boston Children's Hospital Radiology Department. In addition, the Radiology Research Core offers services to help with the planning and logistics for research imaging studies. These services include imaging protocol development, quality assurance testing, data transfer, and training in the use of research equipment, sequences and facilities.
