Marit Pywell, RDN, CDCES joined PHCA in the fall of 2024 after working for 20 years as a practicing nutritionist in the Boston/North area.
Marit’s philosophy of nutrition counseling is to consider every patient’s unique experiences, motivations, barriers and taste buds. Essentially, to meet people where they are at, creating a judgement-free space to collaborate and set goals for healthful behavior changes.

Marit’s aim is to provide clinically sound education and medical nutrition therapy, without bias from nutrition fads or marketing noise. Eating well can improve both physical and mental health, and Marit’s passion is to help individuals and families to achieve their best health, while at the same time, maintaining a balanced relationship with the joy of food. Marit is a warm, enthusiastic, approachable individual who greatly enjoys working with patients of all ages and motivation levels. She has loved working with the children and families of Pediatric Health Care Associates so far!
