Maria began her nursing career as a new graduate at Boston Children's Hospital in 1993. Maria worked as a nurse on the Cardiac stepdown floor. She then transitioned to the Cardiac ICU where she worked for several years. During this time she became very interested in electrophysiology (EP). Maria joined the EP team in 1998 where she specializes in pacemakers, internal cardiover defibrillators, and internal cardiac monitors.
