Professional History

Jake Mattleman was born in Boston and earned his Masters of Social Work at Boston College. After completing his fellowship in Adolescent Medicine at BCH, Jake has continued to support patients as a full-time staff member since 2022. Jake takes an empathic and strength-based approach, making quick connections with patients and families. Jake utilizes several evidence-based practices, including Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, helping patients connect with the self and make value-based decisions. Jake brings authenticity to his practice, treating patients as complex human beings, doing their best to navigate an increasingly unpredictable world. Outside of work, Jake is an avid sports fan, former basketball coach, and ramen connoisseur.
