After completing her undergraduate degree in Nursing, Dot started her career as a staff nurse on a medical floor at Boston Children's Hospital and soon went on to become an experienced staff nurse in the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU). After completing her Master's degree in Nursing as Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, she became was appointed to numerous postions within the Heart Center including, as a Nurse Practice Specialist and Mechanical Circulatory Support Clinical Resource in the CICU, Bereavement Coordinator for the Heart Center, and Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology Preoperative Clinic, and continues to serve in all these roles since 2002.
