Dee is a clinical researcher who began working in transgender healthcare after several years of LGBTQ+ advocacy and education. They are passionate about working with marginalized populations to reduce health disparities. Their areas of interest for research broadly include transgender medicine and surgery, intersectionality, and social stigma.
Approach to Care
I approach clinical research using a mix of community-based participatory research and trauma-informed care. I believe that all patients are the experts in their own experiences and that quality research can only be done when patients are actively involved in the development, implementation, and dissemination process.
