Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is a steward for Count Me In, a nonprofit organization of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Count Me In’s mission is to enable all cancer patients to share their medical information, personal experiences, and tumor samples for generic analysis — allowing researchers to propel progress in better understanding disease. Count Me In is open to any cancer patient living in the United States or Canada and works to improve representation among those from marginalized communities who have historically been excluded from research. This includes patients in our Liver Tumor Center, given the rarity of their diseases.

From participants’ contributions, Count Me In analyzes and shares de-identified data freely with researchers to catalyze discoveries across cancers. Data generated by Count Me In is shared regularly via scientific platforms so that it can be harnessed by researchers everywhere to make impactful discoveries.

By participating in Count Me In, your children could become a driving force of progress in research. Their stories, their data, and their shared unique experiences with cancer can fuel new discoveries and shape treatment approaches. Together, through Count Me In, patients are not just participants; they are the architects of a future where every voice is counted in research.
