Tanya Pereira | Professional History
Dr. Tanya Pereira’s area of clinical expertise encompasses the evaluation and treatment of infants, children and adolescents with renal disease and hypertension, including dialysis and kidney transplantation. Dr. Pereira has a special interest in glomerular research. She was awarded a Neptune Career Development Fellowship and has conducted translational research in nephrotic syndrome. She is also the principal investigator of a study evaluating the long term treatment outcomes of children with lupus nephritis, the results of her work is published in the Clinical Journal of the American Society of Nephrology. She actively participates in teaching nephrology to medical student and pediatric residents.
