Peter Roman | Professional History

Dr. Peter Roman is a native of the Merrimack Valley of Massachusetts. He graduated cum laude with a degree in biology from Boston College in 2011. He went on to graduate from UMass Medical School in 2015 and completed his pediatric residency at Hasbro Children’s Hospital/Brown University in 2018. He joined Westwood Mansfield Pediatrics after working in primary care pediatrics in Attleboro, MA for 4 years. His clinical interests include newborn care, childhood development, asthma and sports medicine. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, running/hiking, cooking, and rooting for Boston sports.

To adequately provide care for any patient requires getting to know them as a whole person. This is especially true in Pediatrics, where the family, school, and community around them has such a great impact on their growth and development. I also feel that this personal approach to medicine helps to ease any of the natural anxiety a child might feel about coming to see the Doctor.
