I am a nurse practitioner in the Epilepsy Program at Boston Children's Hospital. I received my bachelors degree in Psychology from Elon University. During an internship on a psychiatric unit, I discovered my passion for caring for adults and children. I continued my education at the University of Maryland School of Nursing where I earned a Master of Science Degree in the Clinical Nurse Leader program. For 6 years, I worked on a Pediatric Progressive Care unit at a large teaching hospital in Maryland. During this time, I returned to University of Maryland School of Nursing to attend a Nurse Practitioner program in Pediatric Primary Care. In August 2015, I began working as a nurse practitioner in pediatric neurology where I applied my background in psychology and nursing to care for children and families. I joined the team at Boston Children's Hospital in January of 2018 and have been focusing on caring for children with epilepsy. I work in ambulatory care, where I see children on an urgent basis to evaluate for seizures or to manage a recent change in seizures. I am also working with our team to manage care for children with epileptic or infantile spams.
