Professional History

Jillian Mangone is a speech-language pathologist within the Augmentative Communication Program at Boston Children’s Hospital. Jillian received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Northeastern University where her clinical education experiences focused in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) across the lifespan. Jillian collaborates with patients, families, and care teams to evaluate and implement low-, mid-, and high-tech communication systems for individuals with complex communication needs.

Communication is a human right. My aim is to provide individualized, collaborative, and evidence-based care that supports that right. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to work with my patients and their families to find a communication system that works best for them.
