Diane Schwerdt | Professional History

Diane is a Licensed Independent Social Worker who joined Needham Pediatrics in 2018. Diane’s role is to provide assessment and counseling services for Needham Pediatrics patients who have behavioral health struggles such as anxiety, depression, panic symptoms, temper tantrums or behavioral challenges. She specializes in short term, skill based interventions with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. If longer term, more intensive or specialized care is needed, Diane will support families while they navigate the process of connecting to additional providers are resources.

Diane received her BA in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross and her Masters in Social Work from Simmons College. She has prior experience working with postpartum woman, providing outpatient therapy for adults in a primary care setting and working with children in a public school system. Diane has always found value working within the primary care setting where behavioral health is integrated into the delivery of medical care.

Diane lives in the Needham area with her husband and two children.
