Job duties:

  • Greeting patients and visitors
  • Managing phone lines (including identifying emergency/urgent, medical/nonmedical calls, and  notifying the physician)
  • Optimizing patient satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in-person or by telephone
  • Checking patients in (confirming insurance eligibility, working with the biller if any issues)
  • Managing incoming faxes and inputting media into the patient medical record
  • Managing the refrigerator and freezer temperatures
  • Managing service and product deliveries
  • Collects patient co-pay and balances, records and updates patient financial information,
  • Provides patients with appropriate developmental screening forms if not completed online
  • Maintaining the reception area
  • Maintaining the business office with stationary, print ink, inventory, and equipment; placing orders and scheduling equipment servicing/repairs
  • Managing incoming/outgoing patient records
  • Answering referral requests
