A spacer is a holding chamber that attaches to an inhaler. It can help you get more medicine into your lungs, and less in your mouth, so that it’s easier to breathe. For young children and others who struggle with the mouthpiece on a spacer, attaching a facemask creates a seal that makes it easier to inhale the medication.

In this video, we’ll walk you through a simple, step-by-step demonstration of how to use a spacer and mouthpiece correctly, so you can get the most out of their SMART inhaler.
