For Referring Physicians

Our team offers transformative surgical options for children with complex heart anatomies so they can avoid long-term Fontan circulation and instead benefit from biventricular or one-and-a-half ventricle circulation.

Biventricular repair and one-and-a-half ventricle repair options that we’ve developed include:

  • Complex intraventricular and intra-atrial baffling for biventricular repair to treat superior-inferior ventricles, double outlet right ventricle (DORV), and complex transposition anatomy
  • Staged ventricular recruitment for hypoplastic heart syndrome, right or left ventricle
  • Ventricular septation for double inlet ventricles (DIV)
  • Reverse double switch and reverse one-and-a-half operations for hypoplastic left ventricle

We plan surgeries with the help of 3D modeling and simulation tools and can use those visuals as part of pre-operative counseling with your patient’s family. And we will work closely with you to tailor a surgical solution that best meets your patient’s needs — while providing support before and after surgery.
