Vasilyev Laboratory has been focused on developing image-guided beating-heart cardiovascular interventions and cardiac surgical robotics. This includes clinically driven medical device design, new approaches for device prototyping and manufacturing, development of imaging techniques and image processing, computer modeling and simulation.



Dr. Vasilyev graduated from I.M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. He completed residency in cardiovascular surgery and fellowship in pediatric cardiovascular surgery at A.N. Bakoulev Center for Cardiovascular Surgery in Moscow. Dr. Vasilyev completed his research fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.
