Alicia Nugent | Overview

Alicia Nugent, B.A.

Alicia is a graduate student in Harvard’s Program in Neuroscience and joined the Engle lab in 2010. She received her B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2009 as a double-major in Molecular and Cell Biology and in Psychology. At University of California Berkeley, she researched light-modulated molecular interactions and helped to design specialized ligand/receptor binding systems to target the activation of specific neuronal cell types. Alicia is currently working on the CHN1 project to characterize the altered function of mutant alpha2-chimaerin in a genetic mouse model of DURS2-DRS.
