Ongoing Research | Overview
Thank you for your interest in our research! Our projects incorporate and align the usage of wearables, ecological momentary assessment and smartphone-based assessments of cognitive markers, and important contextual information related to individualized behavioral, pain, sleep, and substance use patterns in children and adolescents.
The DART Lab is currently conducting a number of studies related to sleep, pain, mental health, and substance use in pediatric patients:
- Actigraphic monitoring and analysis for assessment of sleep quality and activity status during the perioperative period in a population of pediatric cardiac surgical patients
- Monitoring trajectories of post-discharge recovery in surgical patients
- Assessing the relationship between sleep, pain and substance use in adolescents: a survey study
- Acceptability of using smartphone sensing in chronic pain: a web survey of patient and parent perspectives
- Monitoring sleep using two different wearable devices in chronic pain patients
- Genomic Variants related to Chronic Pain and Substance Use
