Transplant Hepatology Fellowship | Overview
Advanced Fellowship in Transplant Hepatology
This fellowship for a one-year ACGME-accredited Advanced Hepatology and Transplant Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital is open to individuals who will have completed accredited 3-year Pediatric Gastroenterology fellowships. Training in this program is comprehensive and will include supervision in the management of ambulatory and in-patient care to children and young adults with a broad range of congenital and acquired hepatobiliary disorders. There will be opportunities to assist in the education and supervision of GI fellows. In addition, all fellows spend approximately 40% of their time participating in a mentored clinical research project. Funding is available to support attendance at regional and national meetings. Fellows will have opportunities for peer education through participation in a curriculum of lectures and conferences offered both at Children’s Hospital as well as the adjacent campuses of Harvard Medical School and its affiliate hospitals. A one-month rotation at a local adult Hepatology/Liver Transplant program is included.
