Urology Research | Overview

Researchers in the Department of Urology are working to provide a new understanding of genitourinary tract tissues, which have been poorly studied in comparison to those of other organ systems, like the brain and heart. The acquisition of fundamental knowledge about these tissues should pave the way for the development of new and innovative therapies for a variety of common illnesses affecting them, including incontinence, chronic pelvic pain, and congenital defects.

Featured researchers in the Department of Urology hold faculty appointments at Harvard Medical School.
