Cleft Lip and Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies

Our craniofacial research is comprised of both basic science as well as clinical outcomes research for patients with a variety of congenital craniofacial anomalies, including cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, hemifacial macrosomia, Robin sequence, and Parry-Romberg syndrome.

Since 2013, the surgical team at Boston Children’s Hospital has been a leading center in a global effort to improve quality of care for children and adults affected by craniofacial anomalies. Additionally, we have multiple ongoing projects examining genetics, surgical techniques, and resident education, as well as clinical outcomes.
