Dr. Meredith van der Velden is an Associate in the Division of Critical Care Medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. She is also an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia at Harvard Medical School. After graduating from medical school at the University of Kentucky, Dr. van der Velden completed residency training at the Boston Combined Residency Program (BCRP) in Pediatrics and fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care also at Boston Children’s Hospital. In addition to serving as the Program Director for the Pediatric Critical Care Medicine Fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital, Dr. van der Velden also serves as the Director of Graduate Medical Education for the Division of Critical Care Medicine, a role in which she oversees all graduate medical activity for the division. She also serves in other leadership roles at Boston Children’s Hospital. She is the Associate Medical Director of the Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit and is the Medical Director of the International Medical Service.
