Approach to Care
Children should have the best access to communication possible, regardless of their hearing thresholds. Beyond assessing auditory status, my top priority for patients is optimizing their personalized language and communication outcomes. Using evidence-based practices and an empathetic whole-child approach while collaborating directly with families, teachers, and interdisciplinary professionals, my goal is to support children with hearing loss overcome barriers that prevent connection with the world around them; this means everything from providing visual language resources to pursuing amplification options. I try my best to make sure coming in for a visit isn't intimidating, but rather an educational experience where questions are not just welcome but encouraged!
