Katie always enjoyed working with young children and received her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Education expecting to be a teacher. She then worked in Early Intervention for 6 years and decided to pursue a career in Social Work instead to help disadvantaged families. Through her training, she has worked in a Partial Hospitalization Program/Community Based Acute Treatment Center, outpatient medical specialty clinic, and in a critical care inpatient unit. Her background in both Early Education and Social Work helps identify the unique perspective she brings to her work with children and families.
