Professional History

Dr. Da Zhang earned his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Oklahoma. He received clinical training in diagnostic medical physics at Massachusetts General Hospital for five years and became a board-certified medical physicist there. Dr. Zhang spent the next six years of his career at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and was promoted to Assistant Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School. Dr Zhang joined Boston Children’s Hospital Radiology in 2020, his duty includes overseeing the operations of the diagnostic medical physics team in the Radiology department, as well as directing the joint diagnostic and nuclear medicine medical physics residency program. His clinical duties include medical imaging physics coverage for the radiology clinics, as well as training and consultation for physicians and clinical staff. His team is responsible for optimizing equipment performance, organizing quality control, control of radiation hazards, as well as the research and development in imaging physics and radiology informatics.
