Dr. Ward went into pediatrics to advocate for patients who couldn’t always advocate for themselves. After residency she worked on the Navajo Indian Reservation where she worked in every aspect of Pediatric care. Her family then moved to LA for her husbands fellowship and she worked at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as outpatient general pediatrician were she specialized in kids with special needs and the immigrant population in addition to training the pediatric residents. Her family then returned to her home on the East coast where she worked in outpatient care for community PPOC clinics before she became a hospitalist for BCH at St Luke’s hospital in New Bedford, Ma.
