Have you ever wanted to talk to someone who has “been there?” The Family-to-Family Program at Boston Children’s Hospital is a short-term peer mentoring program that connects patients and families with other patients and families that are facing similar health-related challenges.
The Family to Family Program matches take place most often in the outpatient setting, with trained mentors on hand to talk with families by phone to listen and share their experience. In a few places, trained teen mentors go to the bedside to talk with patients in the hospital.
Family to Family mentoring is offered in specific programs. To learn more about the Family to Family Program, please email FamilytoFamily@childrens.harvard.edu.
