Our providers

Dr. Michelle Lock and Dr. Angelica Espinosa-Louissaint founded Commonwealth Pediatrics in July 2015.

Nurse Practitioners Jacqueline Marong and Jill Cunningham were both welcome additions to our team in February 2019 and September 2022 respectively. We’re excited to announce Dr. Aidette Florimon will be joining in August 2023 as well! Our providers work closely together to provide comprehensive evidence -based compassionate care with a sense of fun.

When registering, please indicate a preferred primary care pediatrician. We encourage families to alternate appointments for well child checks between their primary care pediatrician and the NPs. This allows each family to meet all of our providers and helps each member of our team to get to know you and your child. We feel this is the best way to provide the most personalized care possible, and allows our team to work closely together in your child’s care.

We want you to feel comfortable being cared for in any situation by a provider in our office because they will be a familiar and trusted part of your care team. Thank you for choosing Commonwealth Pediatrics to partner with you in the care of your family.

Insurances we accept

Commonwealth Pediatrics currently accepts many major insurers. Please contact your insurance provider first to ensure our office is in network, and match your PCP with the one you see in our office.

We currently accept the following plans: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna (excepting Local Plus), Coventry, Fallon (commercial plans only), Harvard Pilgrim, Humana, Mass Health Brigham (excepting Allies, Select HMO, and Value HMO), Multiplan, Three Rivers, Tricare, Tufts Health Plan (excepting all Steward plans), Tufts Health Public Plan (excepting Unify and Tufts Together MCO), Unicare, and United Healthcare. We also accept MassHealth, though all of our MassHealth patients must enroll in the following plan: Wellsense Boston Children's ACO.

Please view our tipsheet about this in our Forms and Policies section. If you have other questions about your insurance plan, or need help obtaining insurance, please contact our practice administrator by calling our office directly at 781-451-0072.

Information for new parents

No matter where you deliver, your baby will be seen daily and cared for by the pediatric hospitalist team at that hospital.

When you are admitted for the delivery of your baby, you will be asked who your baby's pediatrician will be. Let them know that you have chosen Commonwealth Pediatrics, and they will contact us about your baby's birth. (Congratulations!) After delivery, the nurses will give a Vitamin K injection (to decrease the risk of bleeding) and an antibiotic ointment (to decrease the risk of eye infection).

Before discharge, the baby will be screened for heart disease, jaundice, and hearing loss and receive a Hepatitis B vaccination as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The doctor that cared for your baby in the hospital will tell you when they feel your baby should be seen next. This usually happens 2-3 days after going home, to make sure your baby is feeding well and that they have not become jaundiced or lost too much weight.

We always have room in our schedules to see newborns, seven days a week. We do recommend that you book this appointment before leaving the hospital – please call us at 781-451-0072.

New patient registration

Thank you for choosing Commonwealth Pediatrics as your child's patient-centered medical home.

We are honored to have you as part of our team. In order to provide you and your family the best possible care, it is very important that we have access to your child's previous medical records before scheduling the first appointment. This will allow us an opportunity to review the records and be familiar with your child's past medical history, medications, and immunizations before meeting.

We understand obtaining records can be challenging, but rest assured we are here to help. After completing the contact form below, you will be contacted within two business days with additional information about how to transfer your child's medical records securely and schedule a first appointment with one of our medical providers. Please also visit our Forms and Policies section online and complete the New Patient Registration form found there; this can also be faxed to our office at 781-435-0792.

If you have questions about this process, or have issues with computer or fax access, please call the office at 781-451-0072 and speak with our practice administrator. We want to make this process as simple as possible. We look forward to meeting you at our office in Stoneham!
