Philosophy of Care

As a mental health counselor, I assess and treat the individual needs of children and adolescents regarding their behavioral and emotional health. To provide the most appropriate care, I practice a collaborative approach with primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and psychopharmacologists. I believe in a person-centered approach that uses elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). It is rewarding to help children and adolescents overcome obstacles and provide them with a healthy foundation as they transition into adulthood.
