Philosophy of Care

I work in partnership with the patient and family to provide high quality, compassionate care while attending to each child’s medical, physical, emotional and developmental needs.


Dr. Sara Jacobson has been a pediatrician for over 15 years. She graduated from Boston University School of Medicine and then completed her internship and residency at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford, Connecticut. After completing her training, she worked in a pediatric primary care practice for three years. She happily returned to Massachusetts and has been with Child Health Associates since then. Dr. Jacobson examines and treats newborns in the nurseries at St Vincents and UMass Hospitals and dedicates herself to helping parents anticipate and address the challenges and changes that come with this special time. Dr. Jacobson also works in the Child Health Associates offices where she sees patients for sick, urgent and well child care. Dr. Jacobson is a member of the Newborn Nursery Committee at Umass Memorial Hospital. She holds an appointment of Instructor for UMass Medical School Department of Pediatrics.
