Michael Halata | Professional History

Dr. Michael Halata is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at New York Medical College. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Boston university and his medical degree from University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his Pediatric Residency and Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellowship at New York Medical College. He is board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology.

While his practice encompasses a full range of pediatric gastrointestinal diagnoses, he retains a special interest in Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Eosinophilic Esophagitis, and Chronic Abdominal Pain. He helped establish an Intestinal Rehabilitation Program. He performs a broad range of procedures including Upper Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Capsule Endoscopy, Percutaneous Gastrostomy Tube Placement, pH Impedance testing, Esophageal/Ano-rectal Manometry, and Liver biopsy.
