Mary Alexander | Professional History

Dr. Mary Alexander grew up in North Carolina and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Public Health degrees. She then worked on drug resistant tuberculosis with an inspiring team at Partners in Health before attending Harvard Medical School. She completed her pediatric residency at MassGeneral Hospital for Children and then served for an additional year as Chief Resident before joining the team at Belmont Cambridge Health Care in 2016. Mary lives with her husband, Sandy, and their two daughters in Cambridge - they love to hike in the New Hampshire mountains, bike around Cambridge and put on musicals with their friends.

My philosophy of care centers on building strong relationships with families through open communication and shared decision-making. I strive to offer exceptional, evidence-based pediatric care. Childhood is a magical time, and I delight in opportunities to engage children in play and to put them at ease during office visits and procedures.
